Gateway

This is another picture from Japan the two huge orange gates lead up to a buddhist temple. The monks have no set wage like priests and vicars in the UK. At this particular temple they sell gates like these but a lot smaller (about 3 metres tall) These are then placed one after another after another and make a tunnel which you can walk through. There are literally thousands and thousands of these gates that snake up the mountian. Each gate represents a prayer for a family or business. In return for the money the monks maintain and look after the gates.
